This kind of diabetes occurs mostly in children and adolescents, but it is not limited to adults. People who have type 1 diabetes need insulin injections daily to control their blood glucose levels.

Recently, Type 2 diabetes has risen in children, adolescents, and younger adults due to increasing levels of obesity, physical inactivity, and poor diet.

Gestational or Prenatal diabetes

Diabetes can occur during pregnancy in women, who were previously non-diabetic, is called Gestational diabetes.
